Imagine a world without color. What would we be able to see. It is a well-known fact that we perceive because of light i.e. when there is no light we are unable to see anything.
What happens when there is no light?
Every thing becomes black due to darkness and we are not able to distinguish one thing from the other, hence we are unable to see things.
Imagine there is light but there is no color. The situation will be somewhat same. Even when light is there, because of the absence of colour, we will not be able to distinguish one thing from the other except for as everything will be colourless.
Hence it is not light alone but light and color both together make things visible.
